You'd have to unravel like 3 skins to weave another skin of the same value. If Klei allowed us straight up buy spools, the other people who weaved skins like me would just blend in with the people who threw money at their consoles. If I remember right, bolts from the small chest are enough to buy a chest for just item skins, and you will have spare bolts left.
